Arizona has sent pitcher Micah Owings to Cincinnati to complete the August trade for slugger Adam Dunn, according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Owings is 6-9 with a 5.93 ERA this season and was sent down to Class AAA Tucson on July 29.

Toronto traded shortstop David Eckstein to Arizona on Sunday night in exchange for minor league pitcher Chad Beck, according to Associated Press. Eckstein was the World Series MVP in 2006 with the Cardinals, and has batted .277 with a homer and 23 RBI for the Blue Jays.
